CNMS is pleased to invite you to participate in the new CNMS Fellow in Online Instruction program. This program is designed to support full-time faculty in this difficult time of transitioning to online teaching, while recognizing each faculty’s commitment to excellence in teaching through professional development programs. This program is open to all full-time instructional faculty––tenured/tenure-track, and lecturers––who teach courses in the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences.
The requirements of the fellow’s program are
- Participation in the 5-hour PIVOT or recorded PIVOT Live webinars
- An additional 5 hours of online teaching training through verifiable participation in departmental teaching circles focused on online instruction, CNMS affinity groups, FDC programs addressing issues in online teaching, DoIT workshops and/or webinars focused on online instruction, or in exceptional cases with previous permission outside webinars with provided documentation.
Attendance and participation in a 2 week PIVOT+ program offered through DoIT will satisfy the requirements of the CNMS Fellows Program.
Please note the requirement must be completed between May 1, 2020 and November 20, 2020 and the form submitted no later than November 20, 2020.
Faculty in CNMS who complete the program will receive a letter from the administration recognizing their accomplishments and commitment to student success. In addition, each participant who successfully completes the program will receive a Hrabowski Innovation Award of $500 and the title of CNMS Fellow in Online Instruction.
