The College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences supports an impressive number of undergraduate students who are enrolled in nine undergraduate programs at UMBC. The emphasis on research experiences as significant instructional opportunities enables many UMBC undergraduates to work side-by-side with faculty, post docs, graduate students and other personnel using state-of-the-art equipment and testing various hypotheses. Emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration enhances the undergraduate educational experience at UMBC and allows students to test the waters for future career and post baccalaureate educational interests.
